Student Council
Each year, teachers and students work together to elect two representatives from every 4th-6th grade classroom. These elected officials are responsible for conveying information to designated primary buddy classes. The members make decisions about school beautification and continued improvement, propose special spirit days to be held throughout the year, and assist with extra duties such as sorting cans for the Jack Emery Drive. They also discuss school issues and propose solutions to these problems. Within Student Council, there are four officer positions - President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The students who run for these offices work hard by writing an essay and presenting a speech in front of the other Student Council representatives. Their responsibilities include coordinating student council activities and leading student council meetings every week. This year Mrs. Younan is the teacher in charge of Curtner's Student Leadership Team.
